Dr. Albert Lai, Medical Director for B Beautiful Med Spa in Laguna Hills, CA, is a southern Californian native. Dr. Lai completed his medical training at Tufts University where he subsequently served as a clinical instructor. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and also holds board certifications in Pain Medicine and Independent Medical Examiners. He is serving as the managing partner at the offices of Desert Pain & Rehabilitation Associates based in Rancho Mirage for the past 8 years, is the medical director of Centers of Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine in Placentia.

Dr. Lai’s professional interests include interventional pain management, neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, electro-diagnostics, and last but not least industrial and occupational rehabilitation. Salma Nawabi, Nurse Practitioner, provides health and medical care for a diverse population in a variety of primary care, acute and long-term care settings.

Salma received her Bachelor of Science in Health from The University of North Florida in 1996, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 2002. While holding the charge nurse preceptor/educator to new nurses in the Emergency Department, Salma returned to school to achieve a higher education with a Masters in Science with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner, from Georgetown University, graduating in 2006. After her graduation, Salma moved across the county to be close to her parents and extended family in Southern California. She has been in Orange County since and has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner providing extensive interdisciplinary knowledge base and working with people from birth to old age with specialties including Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Behavioral Health and Addiction Medicine. 

Salma truly finds happiness when she is making a positive difference in other people’s lives. She is driven to provide the best patient experience by providing compassionate personalized care, quality pre-procedure education, attention to detail and exceptional customer service.  

Ramona, RN, is our aesthetic nurse specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) at the St. Francis University of Nursing in Joliet, IL, in 2010. After graduating, she moved to Studio City, CA, to launch her career in medical spa treatments. She quickly fell in love with the concept of providing non-invasive beauty procedures to bring out each patient’s inner confidence. In a short amount of time, she has treated thousands of clients in her chosen field of specialty and was quickly recognized for her talent. Beyond her clinical expertise, Ramona’s greatest talent is her ability to recognize each patient’s natural beauty and help each individual achieve a youthful and natural look. Ramona’s clients benefit from her extensive hands-on injection treatment experience with a gentle clinical approach, precise and natural results. Her commitment to continuing education keeps her at the top of her field. Ramona believes that honesty, empathy and patient satisfaction are the most important tools in fostering strong patient relationships.

Fabrianne M. Kalyviaris, RN, received her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from the California State University of San Bernardino. Upon graduation, she joined Hoag Memorial in Newport Beach, CA, as a full-time Nurse in the Advanced Brain and Spine Unit. “Fab” as she is affectionately known by family and friends, is passionate about women’s beauty, and about the tremendous impact that feeling and looking beautiful can have on women’s self-confidence as they travel through their unique journeys of personal growth. Her love for aesthetics and career as a cosmetic nurse started four years ago, and she has since garnered various skills including being a Certified Candela Practitioner for Laser Hair Removal, Micro-Needling, Hydrafacials, Sublative Ablation Therapy, IPL, and Injections. In addition to possessing the requisite skills, Fab’s patience and commitment to meeting each woman’s unique needs allows her to effectively work with a diverse category of patients. Her extensive knowledge in skincare and beauty has consistently contributed to excellent results, and her dedication and devotion is driving her to further build that knowledge and skillset by pursuing a master's degree, thus increasing her value and impact to both her clients and the cosmetic nursing industry as a whole.
